A High Tech Smart Toaster BBQ's Your Bread
2008-08-22

Everyone loves toast, and yet the world has been devoid of toast innovation for years. Fortunately, the age of toaster transformation is upon us. 2008 have brought us several new toasters from the future. 1. CNC Toast Printer = X-Y Control System + Hot Air Rework Station This CNC toaster puts art to bread. It actually works like a printer but instead of using an ink it uses a hot air gun mounted to a computer-controlled x-y control system to blast the bread as a result creating a wonderful art design pattern.

2. Toast Automatica - Bringing Boring Toasters Back to Life with Style! The Toaster has been a staple house hold product for many years, and in those many years little advances have been made in the toaster aspect of design...until now. George Watson an intuitive designer with the heart of an engineer has designed the Toaster Automatica. Twin hot plates heat the bread on either side of the motorized bread slot, and buttons on the front speed up/down the motor so you can get the perfect toast. Although this may not be available to the public just yet, you should definitely keep an eye out for it in the near future.

3. Toast Printer This killer toast printer creates art! Zuse is a wall-mountable toaster… that is, a “compact toasting device.” It works like a printer that uses burnt toast as ink. According to the creators, “It is automatically activated through an optical sensor when any slice of bread is put in. As a special gimmick, it is possible to burn black and white pictures with a resolution of 12 by 12 pixels into your toast using a line by line toasting.”

4. Transparent Toaster We have all burnt toast in our lives, but no more! The idea is to have the glass heat up enough to actually toast the bread. Currently the glass does not reach a high enough temperature, however look for this technology in the future. They should also take bagels into consideration.

5. Roller Toaster we have evolved from cumbersome cell phones to the slim and chic cell phones. Bulky set top box television to the desirable slender plasma screen.

6. Sunrise Wall Mounted Toaster Sunrise is a toaster which is hung on the wall. Many kitchens, especially in New York City, do not have windows. The residents rarely see the sun shine in the kitchen even in the daytime. This toaster represents the sun. While bread is toasting, light comes out of the toaster. The light is brightest, when the bread is ready to eat.

7. Prank Gift Giving - Real Boxes. Fake Products The Onion Store, offers Gotcha Boxes, Give that special someone a gift that will confuse, disappoint and possibly anger. Give it to them in an Onion GotchaBox™. These special gift boxes, printed with fake product graphics and descriptions, hold your actual gifts inside. The victim/recipient will congratulate you (eventually) for providing them an utterly perplexing and wonderfully humbling moment. GotchaBox box set includes one each of the following: USB Toaster, Make-Your-Own Umbrella Kit, and Salt Of The Month Club.

8. Toast in 50 Seconds The modern toaster takes an average of 141 seconds to make toast. I personally like to make use of this time to close my eyes, breathe deeply of the gently wafting aroma, and perhaps compose a new toast haiku or two. But if you’re the busy high-powered executive type for whom an extra 90 seconds means just enough time to cancel the office Christmas party or to fire an underperforming subordinate or two, this Turbo Toaster boasts toast in under a minute by blowing superheated air onto that bewildered slice from two directions at once.

9. a V-Line Toaster combines with a Induction Cooker It kind of looks like a laptop if you ask me, but the V-Line toaster concept from designer Thibault Masclet is actually a toaster and an induction cooker all-in-one. The competitive pressure of modern society brings people great pressure. People experience same scenes, same routes every day, without time to enjoy life. With the development of technology, home appliances show us more innovation. It makes people's life colorful.
